澳大利亚南海普陀寺修建寺院 需交报告阐述工程理念

佛教在线海外据 据澳大利亚《独立周报》报道，近日，澳大利亚南澳州独立发展评估委员会要求欲在南澳州首府阿德莱德南部修建寺院的澳大利亚南海普陀寺提交一份发展报告，详细阐述此项工程的精神理念。

澳大利亚南海普陀寺作为一个宗教团体，于1996年成立，是一个非盈利的佛教组织。他们想在阿德莱德市南部花费1500万美元修建一座寺院，计划该寺院占地55公顷，内设几座佛殿，并在其中间修筑一座35米高的佛塔。

南澳州规划署部长保罗.霍洛威2009年6月25日表示，南澳州独立发展评估委员会注意到该组织最初申请书具有九个方面的问题，因此作为评估发展进程的一部分，该组织还需要准备一份发展报告，。在该报告中，除了要阐述该项目对环境的影响和其他问题外，还应详细阐述这项工程的精神及文化理念。（编译：子规）

Proponents of a $15 million Buddhist temple in Adelaide's south have been ordered to detail the spiritual rationale of the project.

The Nan Hai Pu Tuo Temple of Australia is a not-for-profit Buddhist organisation incorporated in 1996 as a religious organisation.

The organisation wants to build a $15 million temple, featuring several shrines and a central 35-metre tall pagoda, on a 55-hectare site in the city's south.

South Australian Planning Minister Paul Holloway said on Thursday the organisation was required to prepare a development report as part of the major development assessment process.

The state's independent Development Assessment Commission had ruled the report was needed after identifying nine issues from the organisation's initial application.

Detailing the spiritual and cultural rationale for the project was among the requirements, in addition to addressing environmental impact and other issues, Mr Holloway said.
