澳大利亚宗教信仰将发生巨大变化 佛教信众大幅增加

据《IBISWorld forecast》预测，截至2020年，澳大利亚人民宗教信仰比例将发生巨大的变化。非宗教人士将上升50%多到550万。而佛教、伊斯兰教、和印度教的信众人数将会有一个很大的跳跃。

截至到2020年，穆斯林人数将上升200%多，超过100万，而佛教信众人数将增加一倍，不少于870000人，印度教信众人数也将从150000上升到365000人。但天主教信徒人数只略有增长，增加10%，英国圣公会增加2.4%到380万。

除了五旬节派教会（基督教的一个教派）外，信仰基督教的人数可能将会减少。这取决于有越来越多的人宣称他们不信仰任何宗教，并且信仰基督教家庭中，澳大利亚少年不再信仰他们父母所信仰的宗教的现象也呈上升趋势。但基督教以外其他宗教的信仰者人数却在以令人难以置信的速度增长，他们大部分是来自亚洲、东南亚以及中东的移民，而且，他们的子女也很可能跟随他们父母的宗教信仰。（编译：子规）

There will be big changes in the spiritual life of Australians by 2020 with the number of people who do not believe in a religion increasing by more than 50 per cent to 5.5 million.

Another big change will be a jump in the number of people following Islam, Buddhism and Hinduism.

The number of Muslims will jump by more than 200 per cent to just over one million, IBISWorld forecast. The number of Bhuddists will double to just less than 870,000 and the number of Hindus will jump from about 150,000 to about 365,000.

The number of Catholics is likely to grow by a modest 10 per cent and the number of Anglicans will edge up by a 2.4 per cent to 3.8 million.

With the exception of Pentecostal churches, manly Christian denominations are likely to suffer falls in their membership.

This is due to more people saying they do not believe in a religion, Mr Bulter said.

"There's an ongoing trend of young Australians of Christian families not taking up their parent's faith."

"But the Non-Christian religions are growing incredibly fast.

"That is almost entirely due to immigration from Asia, South-East Asia and the Middle East. We are also expecting to see the children of these immigrants likely to join their parent's religion, adding another layer of growth."
